Are you interesting in rankings of various kinds? "The Top Ten" colleges, health care plans, and the like? You will have a great time at Gary Price's List of Lists. Categories of lists are on the right-hand side of the main page. Each category opens to a page containing lists from many different providers. Under Education, for example, you can find Best Business Schools, Best Graduate Schools, and so on. Beware of the listings from the U.S. News & World Report - a single click wil open 5 pop-up windows (ggrrrr!). The category "Executives and People" also has some very interesting lists including "The World's Billionaires."

Many university libraries are providing portals into digital content on the Web. "Digital content" include resources such as electronic books, online journals, audio files (e.g., wav, mp3), images (e.g., tiff, gif), movies (e.g., mpeg, quicktime), and/or reference texts (e.g., dictionaries, or directories). One such portal is OAIster (pronounced 'oyster') because it leads you to the pearls of online content! The goal of OAIster is "to create a collection of freely available, difficult-to-access, academically-oriented digital resources that are easily searchable by anyone." Try searching for your subject, person, title of artwork, novel or text using the comprehensive search screen.

Library News: We hope that you enjoyed your Thanksgiving weekend. We'd like to draw your attention to a new item on our Web site: our video/DVD list. Just click on Research Help from the main page, then go down to Video & DVD Title List. Use your browser's "Find" feature to look for distinctive words in the title of the video or DVD you are seeking.

Sorry to report that a solution for our WebCat problem has not yet been found. :(
